JEPO is a company owned by Finnish potato farmers, where responsibility is part of the culture and real actions. Sustainable practices and environmental awareness are core values of the company, which it is committed to promoting systematically and over the long term in all parts of the production chain.
Locally produced Finnish potatoes
JEPO potato products are made from Finnish potatoes. The potatoes are grown on contract farms near JEPO’s production facilities and further processed into raw and ripe potato products suitable for professional kitchens, respecting the raw material and the environment.
Contract farming is a guarantee of quality
Contract farming of potatoes is based on pre-agreed plans and quality criteria. JEPO’s crop advisors offer guidance and advice to farmers from the purchase of seed potatoes to the harvesting of potatoes. Some contract farmers are already in their third generation of growing potatoes, with long experience and expertise ensuring the quality of the potatoes.
We care for the environment
JEPO pays particular attention to minimising the climate impact of raw material sourcing, product manufacturing and transport. Finished products are transported in an optimised and fully loaded way to the wholesalers, thus reducing the carbon footprint of transport. In addition, the packaging materials of the products are recyclable.
